If you tend to use your Wrangler as a commuting vehicle the 4xe is a great option! You can plug it into an old school 110/120 garage outlet and charge it over night, this will give you an electrric range of 20 to 25 miles. But if you have a 240 outlet it will take less than 3 hours to fully charge.
The 4xe runs on hybrid power, which is a blend of gasoline and electric. You can press a button on the left dash for all electric or to save electric. When off-roading you could use electric power to smooth acceleration and avoid emissions in the wilderness, keeping the air cleaner in the woods. If you plan on off-roading in your Wrangler you can increase your suspension travel by disconnecting the sway bar with a button on the stack.
Running on Save-E allows the engine and brakes to help regenerate some electric power to the batteries. For example, if you are driving around town and you went from 10% power to 25%, giving you a few more miles of electric range that you could turn on if you wanted to.
