It's true, tomorrow 7/7 Ford will stop producing the Fiesta. For those who loved this little gas sipper, Ford is making room on the production line for it's all electric Ford Explorer.

The end of the Ford Fiesta – what went wrong? | The Car Expert

The electric Ford Explorer was teased and then released to European markets in March and the starting price point is expected to be less than $50K. Ford is turning its manufacturing plant into an electric battery plant, thus resulting in the end of the Fiesta.

Alot of information about the Explorer EV has not been released yet, but we do know that this will be equipped with alot of tech and provide consumers with ample space. The Ford Explorer EV will have a 15 inch moveable touchscreen in the middle of the dashboard, along with wireless charging, and a locker for valuables. The Explorer EV is being marketed as a mid-sized crossover, it will be able to sit 5 people using two rows. Ford is adding massaging drivers seat, assisted lane change, and a tailgate that opens by sensing your foot.

Even though the current drive range is unkown for US markets. Ford is predicting that this crossover can charge from 10-80% in just 25 minutes. It's only a matter of time before this Explorer makes its way to the US. This is part of Ford's plan to produce all electric vehicles by 2030.
